What is Haiku?
According to Haiku For People at http://www.toyomasu.com/haiku/ :
"Haiku is one of the most important form of traditional japanese poetry. Haiku is, today, a 17-syllable verse form consisting of three metrical units of 5, 7, and 5 syllables."
Tad and I enjoy trying to create haiku and plan on using it for scrapbooking and journaling to document our adventures. Here is one that Tad wrote that is currently on our fridge for inspiration:
DREAMS WITHOUT ACTION
ARE NEVER VERY USEFUL
SAIL TO THE FUTURE
WHERE IS THE BEST PLACE?
YOU CAN'T CHOOSE A FAVORITE
UNTIL ALL ARE SEEN
SO START TO PLAN NOW
THE ONLY THINGS TO REGRET
ARE THOSE LEFT NOT DONE
Cool huh?? :o)
