Fort Stevens State Park

When we left Imagine, we headed for our friends house in Olympia. Then, Friday we checked into Fort Stevens State Park in hopes of camping in a yurt. Unfortunately, we couldn't get one with it being the weekend. The weather was clear, so we set up camp in the tent!

We walked to the beach and checked out the shipwreck of the Peter Iredale.. glad imagine doesn't look like that after the storm! Yikes!

Saturday, we woke up to clear weather and took the bikes to the trail. We rode 9 whole miles checking out the historical site. It was perfect!

Did you know??.. The floors are heated in the shower rooms in Oregon State parks! Geez! Now that's camping, Oregon State parks rule!

wow, was a giant tarp covering over the tent REALLY necessary? Isn't that supposed to go over your picnic table?....Of course this is the same place that thinks heated floors in a shower are necessary too...lol

oh well, as long as you kids had fun.

Hey..... We heard you had a wild night in the slip!! They had a 92 mph gust at the SeaView dock. Drew has our sails ready.... but unfortunaly we are still awaiting some hardware. Looks like sails will go up next Monday, then Rosie and I will head out for a couple of weeks. Hope all is going well with your trip. We set up a blog... eagerdreamer so we could chat with you two...John and Rosie
