Sunday Feb. 17 -We packed up and left the boat in the marina, headed to Barra and spent the night in a hotel so we could rise early and catch our Mex-Eco tour bus to travel inland to the Michoacan region.
Monday morning we left from Malaque. We traveled steady, having sandwiches and bananas for lunch, stopping briefly in Guadalajara to pick up a few more people. All in total there were just 18 of us and the 2 tour guides, Ruth & Dan. We passed by the Colima Volcano, the most active volcano in Mexico.

We arrived in Morelia about 9 hours later, checked into the hotel and boarded a trolley for a tour of the historic district.
We visited a beautiful church and walked around downtown stopping to eat at a restaurant before falling blissfully into bed for a good sleep after a long day!
