We were scheduled to leave for the states, our visas were up and it was time for spring break! Originally, we planned to have the boat in Mazatlan so we had made airline reservations from there. Here we still sat in La Cruz just a few days prior. We decided that we would hop on a bus and do the land travel thing again. Riding the bus was comfortable and a great way to travel.
We booked a room at Hotel Siesta! Lovely and hospitable, it was not in the tourist zone but it was right on the malacon. We had a beach front view and we were within walking distance to historic old town.
Touring Mazatlan by foot provided much needed exercise! We walked everywhere for two days. Finding plaza Machado in historic downtown was simply enchanting. We ate at the outdoor cafes and browsed the boutiques.
We caught our flight to Seattle from Mazatlan (after an 8 hours of waiting, delayed!) Arriving at Seattle at 4:00 am .. brrrrrr...
