Local Nature Walk

We have driven past the highway sign for this little nature walk called the Chehalis River Discovery Trail about 100 times!

It's been so cold, so when we got a brief clearing .. we decided to check it out!

After parking at the end of a country road, we walked past some cows and headed toward the trail.

Found it!

It's kind of a neat little area, bordered on pasture farm land and the rivers edge.

I love red barns!

We made it down to the river where we began to follow the trail bordering the shore.

The sun was being stubborn and hiding behind the clouds but it was still a nice stroll.

At the end of the trail we could actually go down on a beach area and watch people fish. The fish were jumping!

Right as we were climbing back into the car, I noticed this pumpkin field across the street. The owners were burning and the smoke was drifting over the field.
