Friends, wine and chocolate..does it get any better?

Blaine has been a wonderful town to meet friends and have fun.

Last week we had dinner with two Eager Dreamers, John & Rosie ( http://www.twoeagerdreamers.blogspot.com/ ). They prepared a wonderful Mexican dinner complete with a delightfully sinful chocolate mouse desert for us. We feel so lucky to have met them and we are looking foreward to many memorable sailing adventures together.

Friday night we ventured out on the town to Northern Meadows Gifts and Wine shop ( http://www.northernmeadowsgiftsandwine.com ) for an event titled "Wine 101." We met some community members and had delightful conversation with the couple that shared our table, Carl & Kathy. The wine was interesting and the chocolate covered strawberries were to die for. We ended up buying A by Acacia Chardonnay and ordering a wine of Catena called Alamos Malbec 2005. The owner of the business, Christine, just recieved Business Owner of the Year! We are looking foreward to the next wine tasting event.
