Dec 6th ~ Surfs Up!

Even in Mexico you cannot escape Pacific Northwest storms! 3-4 days ago they had 100 mph winds and 50 ft waves in the PNW that caused ocean swells to head south all the way to Mexico. Here in Bandaras Bay swells 6-7 ft started to come around the point at Punta Mita where we were anchored. We decided to move further into the bay for better protection. We returned to La Cruz and even here the swells were 4-5 ft. This makes for a lumpy nightime anchorage but at least we were safe and we got to see a few whales on our short trip to La Cruz! There are approximately 15 boats anchored and about 15 in the marina, more to come as this weekend is the Bandaras Bay Bash!

Hi Guys... your looking good. We just returned from the islands ...actually sunny weather on 4 of the days while out (but very cold, highs in the low 30's).
