It's the 4th of July! We are still in Idaho. The nearby town of Council was having a quilt show so we headed over there to attend and arrived just in time to see a parade!
There were gunshooters and antique tractors...
and... there were porcupines! On almost every parade entry, there was one in a cage and named...
After a little investigation, we discovered that these critters are caught the week before in order to auction off their sponsorship and then race them! This funding is used for the firework show. They are released back to the wild post racing.
The quilt show was lovely and interesting too... haha
I picked up an entry for the quilt block challenge for 2011, maybe I'll get it finished by then.
