Abbotsford BC to Lynden WA

The other day, we went to Abbotsford BC to pick up a floor for our dinghy. It was a beautiful day for a drive with no problems at the border. There are sprawling farms and dairies almost the whole way! We were pleasantly surprised, we had no idea we were so close to this lovely landscape! We picked up our floors at a shipping company, traveled back across the border into Lynden WA.
This cute little town (not far from our marina) is located between Mt. Baker and Puget Sound. With a unique Dutch heritage, it definitely has an ambiance of Holland. I have read that there are massive raspberries here during the season and I have already spotted a farmers market. I also read that there are many biking trails, so we will definitely be returning to Lynden! We had lunch at a little restaurant just under a windmill before heading back home.

Lynden is such a quaint town. Isn't it beautiful between Blaine and there? So glad you are discovering the area. We are in Pender Harbour, Garden Bay on the Coast of BC. Rain and wind.......ah, the Pacific Northwest. We'll keep in touch. Rosie
