Art and Veggies!

Day 13, Thurs: It is so close to the last day and we are contemplating how to spend the rest of our vacation. We haven’t explored the art galleries yet so today that is where we decide to go. There are app. 15 documented galleries in Puerto Vallarta down by “gringo gulch.” We took the bus to town and found the first set, where we obtained a map to the art community. We saw so many beautiful sculptures and paintings; there is some excellent art in Mexico! We came very close to purchasing one item made by a Huichol Indian but decided we should wait as we are still unsure about how we want to decorate the boat.

Planeta Vegetariano (www.planetavegetariano.com) was a neat little vegetarian café tucked just behind the church downtown. We stopped for a buffet lunch of various fruits and veggies spiced with Mexican flair. The food was really yummy! The only thing I didn’t care for was the papaya juice (yuk) Tad likes it though! So he drank that and I drank the green juice mix called the “drink of life.”
