Enjoying Perula

Last Friday morning we awoke to find a Mexican navy ship in the bay. They had a dog, so we though maybe they were looking for drugs, or maybe just walking the poor dog! LOL. Another day of relaxing and reading. I’m blazing through the books!

By Sat ~ too much relaxing, we gotta move! We took the dinghy in and indulged in a good long walk. Mexican interpretation of the English language sometimes gets lost in translation, we found this funny sign!



We sat at one of the seaside palapa restaurants and ate Shrimp Diablo, gazed out at the boat, watched kids swim and watched these girls fish with fishing line wrapped around plastic bottles.

It’s so nice here! Water 78 degrees, outside air temp 80 degrees.

On Sunday we broke out the bikes. Taking bikes ashore proved to be a task but once we beached, and tossed our broken dinghy wheels in disgust, it was a perfect outing.

We went down dirt roads and found the most beautiful agricultural area. First we found avocado orchards.

There were fields of melons, papayas, green peppers and rows of corn, all surrounded by palm trees and green with the scent of the ocean. I seriously considered staying here forever.
