With the weatherman forecasting one last day of summer like weather, we loaded up the bikes and grabbed the Frisbee golf disks and headed over to Ocean Shores for some beach play.
Ok, we seriously drove through the town and then realized we missed it. The town is poorly laid out and no bike areas anywhere to be seen. To top it off the clouds started rolling in and it was cold! We found a bar & grill and went in for lunch. Our sandwiches were, well yuk. Western Family type bread with packaged lunch meat, so sad!
Keeping our spirits up and trying to make the best of it as usual, we headed for the beach with high hopes of at least a romantic stroll. All we found there was this idiot who parked near the beach and let these birds crap all over his car! LOL .. there was litter and it stunk. Maybe this place was great in summer but for the end of September, it sucked.
We got back into the car and drove back home where it was warm and cozy, curled up together and chuckled at the irony of it all - trying to get away to play when we had it all right here ~ warmth, sunshine, great food and a frisbee golf course :o)
