June 10, 2007 ~ we pulled anchor from Roche and headed to Canada customs at Bedwell Harbor, Pender Island British Columbia. We docked the boat successfully and checked in via a phone center. This took a very short time. We quickly headed out of the harbor and straight into some excellent winds! The sails went up and the motor was turned off. We sailed successfully almost all of the way to Montague Harbor, Galiano Island!

Once at the island, we anchored near Eager Dreamer and made plans for a night out on the town! We chose to go to the famous Hummingbird Pub here on the island which usually runs its own ‘pub bus.’ We waited with 10 others (John & Rosie included) at the bus stop for over ½ an hour. Finally we called them. The bus was not running because it wasn’t quite in season yet. However, they arranged for a local transportation guy named “Flyin’ Ryan” to come pick us all up and bring us in!
