Just off the interstate near Chehalis, there is this business called Matticulous Designs. It's one of those displays that could cause an accident because right near the road are beautiful gazebos, the kind a girl dreams about having tea parties with her friends in. Everything from oriental designs to victorian to basics.
So 6 weeks ago, Tad & I decided to finally stop in. We had been contemplating expanding our back deck to make more room for outdoor entertaining. We both though that maybe a gazebo addition might be a nice way to not only expand but cozy things up a bit!
Now... you know Tad wanted to build it himself! LOl .. however, after estimating the cost of the lumber vs. the cost of a custom built gazebo from Matticulous designs (on sale now!), it was obvious that this indeed was not only a good deal but the faster and less frustratingway to go!
So we prepped and waited.. excitedly! and soon, the call acme that it was ready! The workmen came with the crafted pieces and assembled it in the back yard withing a few hours...
first they build the deck platform
then up goes the sides
then finally the roof with a good weather coat
and viola! it's done!! We love it! it's perfect and exactly what we wanted. We left 3 sides open. one will come out to the yard where we will place a picnic table, one is open to the deck of course and the other points toward the garage area. Planter boxes will go on the ground where the sides are enclosed. I'm so excited to see what fun will have in our new gazebo!
