Dec. 12th, we left LaPaz and headed to a popular windsurfing area called Barrilas. It's still too windy for a tent so we are looking for a small mom & pop hotel, we think we have found one in our camping guide that looks interesting but people we have met have told us the coastline road has been washed out due to the Hurricane last fall. We will try anyway!
14 miles north from Barrilis on a really narrow, steep, manmade dirt road, we find El Cardinal's Hide-A-Way. 6 beach front unit suites. 2 were taken, one by a couple who were moving into thier new home in Mexico and the other by 2 NYC firefighters, here for fishing adventures.
It really is a hide away, it's quiet and peaceful.
