La Paz!!

Dec 9th, we made it to La Paz after driving back across the desert. It's only 84 degrees but feels so much hotter! At first we weren't having much luck finding a camping spot but then we finally found our way to the Aquamarina! It is a perfect little gated park on the waterfront, not far from the downtown tourist area but far enough for quiet and privacy. Cell service too! So I got to call the kids (thank goodness!) that always makes me feel better!

We checked in for 3 nights and settled in. We rode bikes, did laundry, BBQ'd, layed by the pool and had a grand time checking out the marinas for future reference.

Tad and Tina... we just returned from a great 10-day sail through the SJ's. We left Seaview North on the 7th. Quite a week for weather, however...another major storm blew through (80 to 90 MPH winds again). Lots of damage throughout the PNW but all was OK here in Blaine when we returned. We had good "heavy weather" testing of all the new equipment, which worked GREAT. We had several days of 40+ kt winds while we were out.... and some great sailing. Glad to hear you two are doing well and enjoying the adventure. Lots of great sailing in the Sea of Cortez!!!

Merry Christmas!!
