Morro Bay

We left Monterey, just the two of us .. with this guy rooting us on from the dock the night before...

We figured it would take us about 20 hours to get to Morro bay. During the trip we passed our 1000 mile marker!! can you believe we have gone that far?? Tad took the pics to prove it.

I was a bit nervous about doing our very first overnight trip alone since I have had so much trouble with seasickness. Tad got me some Scopolamine patches. I cut one in half and applied behind my ear. A few hours of my body adjusting to the meds and then ... NO Seasick!! Yippeee .. I actually got to enjoy being out on the water. It's a miracle! LOL. Here is a photo of our first sundown .. alone..

We made it safely to Morro Bay at 0600 but waited a few hours for light and tide to actually go into the harbor as we read it could be a little hairy. We made it in no problem but boy was it crowded. We went to a temp dock at the park and then walked down to the Morro Bay Yacht Club. They welcomed us at their dock with open arms. It was perfect timing as a few boats were just leaving.. *whew!* It's just beautiful here. We came here last year on our camping trip and I loved it, still do. This place is on our list of potential future ( like 5-10 years from now) land lubber status.

Woohoo! A thousand miles. Getting serious with the salty dog status. Well done. Please keep the pics coming for us landlocked ones. Glad you are off the seasickness. It is so much more fun.

Thanks for keeping your blog up to date. It's our main source of entertainment! (almost)

We love reading about your adventures and it's so much more fun cheering on someone you actually know!

Wish we were there.
