Time to go home..

We got up early and returned the car rental.. headed for the plane.

First we went to the wrong airlines. Then we felt dumb and headed for the correct one only to have metal gates shut off entrances when an alarm started going off. Finally it shut off and we made our way to the ticket counter, through security and onto the correct plane.

We thought we could relax but just as we were about to leave, the pilot made an announcement that one of the engines didn't start correctly and that the mechanics would arrive shortly to check it out.






Two hours later ... after sitting on a plane on the tarmac, It was definitely time to go!

We finally took off only to miss our connecting flight in Houston. the airlines re-booked everyone and luckily there was another flight leaving in just 2 more hours.

We walked, ate, waited and finally boarded.. Made it to Portland then drove another 2 hours..

We got home late but oh did it feel good to be home and in my own bed.
