After climbing the tower, we decided to visit the Cathedral.

The pulpit of the Cathedral is one of the major monuments in the Italian Gothic style. The lamp suspended from the pulpit is the very one which distracted Galileo Galilei from church ceremonies, but inspired him to formulate his theories on pendular motion. The lamp is still known as Galileo's Lamp.

We grabbed some gelato and walked back towards the station along the River Arno ..

The leaning tower was not the only crooked building in Pisa!

Back at the station, we caught the train back to Florence. Reaching our condo tired and happy, we cooked up a steak dinner with our bottle of wine from our Tuscany adventure.
Just one more day in Firenze!
