So long October

Is it just me or is 2010 just zooming by!

I cannot believe it is the end of October already.

I was walking fast down the driveway and noticed Orson standing above a mole hill .. waiting .. it was almost as if he looked up at me, smiled for the photo and then went back patiently waiting for the mole to surface to he could pounce on it. I'm not sure if that ever came to fruition. However, he is a very good hunter - good kitty purrrrr...

According to the Seattle Climate Data web site:

"Precipitation for the month was over two inches above normal at 5.24 inches compared to the normal 3.19 inches. There were fifteen days in October that had precipitation --- thirteen days with measurable precipitation and two days with a trace of precipitation. The maximum 24-hour precipitation total was 1.21 inches on October 9. Precipitation for the year was running over seven inches above normal at 33.25 inches compared to the normal 25.55 inches".

Yep, it's been super wet and the fungi species around here are very happy.

Our pond is full to the brim. It's actually being emptied by an overflow pipe into an area on the other side of the trees.

Our goldfish don't seem to mind. Can you see the orange flecks in the photo? They getting BIG out there! The leader is Big Jerry .. adopted from the Furey home.

We decided to celebrate fall by going to Olympia to the Gravity Beer Market beer tasting event. Tad even brought out the Benz for a Spin! Oh happy Pumpkin dark Ale!
