When I saw these boys I knew we had made it to Rome!!!
We checked into our beautiful room and then started walking toward the Colosseum - We had passes so we didn't have to stand in line. It was awesome!

and the view was amazing.
This place is huge.. you can imagine the history happening right in front of your eyes.
We took a short walk outside and up a path.
Tad found a pillar to be statuesque on.. my Roman God! LOL
We walked on the oldest road in Roma.
Then headed back to our hotel.
We ate supper at a little restaurant down from the hotel that had outdoor seating but it wasn't on a busy road.
Quiet, lit up romantic and really good pasta & wine = perfect.
