Nuevo Vallarta!

Day 6, Thurs: We decided to go catch a bus North to Nuevo Vallarta to see the Marina there. We walked to Walmart and then caught a bus that cost 24 Pesos! We have been only spending 5 pesos, so we were a little shocked (LOL) .. We enjoyed the ride and found our way through security at the Paradise Village beach resort & Marina. Security was tight and there were many Norte Americanos with their boats docked here. We watched this humungous yacht come in that made our boat seem like a dingy! It was incredible! We met with the marina management and got some information, noted the yacht club facilities and caught the bus back to Marina Vallarta to check on rates there.

At Marina Vallarta we found out that the slips are 90% permanent residents now! They no longer take reservations .. first come, first served. That was not welcome news as we hope to have our boat here next holiday season. We had some lunch and headed back to the hotel for a quick dip in the ocean and then the pool.

After snacking for dinner, we took an evening stroll and saw a huge yacht anchored just in front of Los Tules! This boat even had a helicopter on it..geesh! Needless to say, we were a little awed by the site. Wow..
