Friday we attended a nutrition seminar with our new friends Gene and Delores. It was sponsored by JuicePlus ( http://www.jp4health.info/ ). It was very informational and entertaining. The presenter just happened to be Titus Duncun, MD. He performed the first and only gall bladder surgery on a patient in South Africa while he, the surgeon, was in Atlanta, Georgia using robotics and satellite transmission. Tad has a huge interest in surgical robotics, so meeting Dr. Duncun was a pleasant experience. However, listening to a laproscopic surgeon who is a director of a weight loss program and specializes in bariatric procedures, talk about being obese, after I had just stuffed my face with a Veggie burrito .. was not fun at all *sigh*... BWG.
I had a lot of time to consider the situation being stuffed in the boat all weekend..The Pineapple Express arrived in full force here at Semiahmoo! Wind and rain kept the boat in perpetual motion. We read til we felt sick, watched DVD's and finally, when we couldn't stand it anymore, braved the weather and took off for a brisk walk around the spit. Finally this morning, there is sunlight in the windows. Mexico is sounding better and better every day!
