Leaving St. Moritz - Too soon!

The next morning we woke up very rested with the sun shining on the snow outside. We had a beautiful breakfast with croissants, coffee, fruit and granola. Our window table had a perfect view of the lake.

We slowly packed up our backpacks and headed towards the train depot to catch the Bernina Express returning to Tirano.

We saw these sweet flowers planted inside a fallen tree. Great idea for the lake house landscaping!

Once on the train we headed back over the Alps. We saw much more scenery since it wasn't raining or snowing.

There were some clouds that covered peaks but every once in awhile you could see through.

We waved at hikers and they happily waved back at us. Everyone seems so joyful in the Alps! How could you not be though? It's SO beautiful!

They offered snacks on the train. The cart had this mountain goat attached to the front - hilarious!

We rounded the Centennial Celebration loop as we arrived back into Tirano.

We then boarded a train back into Italy to Tomilano (Milan) then a transfer back to Florence.
