Sept. 17 ~ 0130 Arrived in Newport and I leapt off the boat with GLEE not caring that everyone around me is sleeping. Finally I settle down and sleep blissfully without engine noise. In the am I’m up and off the boat. Hot shower and coffee! SWEET! Tad catches a ride to town and finds his air filter. Installed and we are off by 1000. 
All afternoon the winds steadily built from the stern working its way up from 15-20 knots gradually picking up to 25 with some gusts to 30. Wind waves and swells were generally 8-10
feet.
